Forecast accuracy
How forecast accuracy is measured.
The algorithm is developed over years of analysis and implementation by industry veterans.
4Cast360 brings together a forecasting methodology that Bizwin has developed and implemented with B2B sales consultancy customers for almost 10 years.
The methodology combines evidence-based Lead Opportunity Scoring (LOS), structured forecast categories, weekly deal assessment and three AI-driven forecast scenarios, helping salespersons and sales leaders assess the pipeline more objectively and identify potential revenue slippage earlier.

4Cast360 measures forecast accuracy by comparing the Most Likely forecast calculated (Bizwin’s proprietary algorithm) at a predefined point in the period with the actual result at the end of that period.
Most Likely forecast captured in Week 8 / 9 of the quarter versus actual results at quarter-end.
Most Likely forecast captured in Week 2 of the month versus actual results at month-end.
This methodology builds on nearly a decade of B2B sales-forecasting experience from Bizwin’s sales consultancy engagements, where forecast-accuracy improvements have been documented in client case studies.

4Cast360 uses Bizwin’s Lead Opportunity Scoring (LOS) methodology to assess opportunities periodically. Based on the assessment, opportunities are assigned automatically to one of four forecast categories:
An opportunity may move between categories as its LOS score and supporting evidence change. This helps the forecast reflect the quality of opportunities, not merely the salesperson's stated confidence.
When the salesperson updates and submits the Weekly Forecast, 4Cast360 generates three views of the expected revenue / bookings:
A conservative view of the expected outcome.
The central forecast used to assess forecast accuracy.
An optimistic view of the potential outcome.
The platform also tracks how these scenarios change over time, helping sales leaders identify shifts in forecast confidence and potential slippage.
The algorithm evaluates opportunity-level information through a structured forecasting methodology, helping sales leaders understand potential outcomes and identify changes in forecast confidence.
Every customer has a different sales environment, process maturity and opportunity profile. During onboarding, Bizwin assesses the maturity of the customer’s Sales Function and configures the forecasting methodology accordingly.
The configuration is reviewed periodically (annually), and fine-tuned (if required) based on relevant changes in the customer’s sales process and operating environment.
Individualised AI is used to assess relevant historical patterns and salesperson-specific behaviours to calibrate forecasts. Its role is to complement the evidence-based assessment and established forecasting methodology.
